Unlike traditional Box Sash windows that rely on cords, weights, and pulleys, our timber Spring Sash windows use a concealed spring-loaded mechanism. This innovative system provides all the benefits of smooth, easy operation while allowing for a smaller structural rebate, making it suitable for installation in a flush reveal or limited spaces.
In conservation areas, and in more modern buildings where the structure cannot accommodate the rebate of the traditional box sash, but where the spring balance is not considered visually authentic, we have designed a simple box cover that completely conceals the spring balance. This allows the vertical sliding sash window to be even more in keeping with traditional appearance and has the added advantage of allowing quick, easy and efficient maintenance.
