After moving to Bath in 2015, the Frasers took their time searching for their ideal home, and were not afraid of taking on a property in need of some TLC, "We found this beautiful house in a perfect spot, which was exactly what we were looking for and provided us with a project to get stuck into" explains Mrs Fraser. Among the many other jobs, they recognised some areas that needed attending to more urgently and so they set to work on replacing all of the windows as well as adding an extension to the rear of the house.
A local architect was brought on board to help with the project, in turn bringing Emery Brothers in, as a respected construction firm. "We trusted Emery Brothers' recommendation and they suggested we use Mumford & Wood for authentic, replacement windows" Mrs Fraser explains.
Tony Gregory of Emery Brothers comments "We have used Mumford & Wood before, where we had successful dealings with them on a nearby project. We considered different suppliers at the time and whilst Mumford & Wood weren’t the lowest cost, all parties agreed that the products from Mumford & Wood were far superior to the others on offer."
Sash windows were installed around the property, perfectly suiting the stone architecture of the building and giving it a grand appearance conserving its heritage. All are finished in a shade of White, with fine astragal glazing bars, decorative sash horns and traditional sash ironmongery. "We are very happy with the result of the project and the quality of the windows" comments Mrs Fraser.
"From our point of view, we believe the finished job looks fantastic!" Tony concludes.
