Historic Lawton Hall restoration

Mumford & Wood have supplied bespoke, single glazed, historic box sash timber windows, from the award-winning Conservation™ range, for the extensive restoration of the 17th century, Grade II listed, Lawton Hall, Cheshire.

Although our production is geared to producing modern, energy efficient, factory finished, double glazed windows, from our manufacturing facility in Essex, there is still a requirement for a single glazed alternative in period properties and conservation areas where planning restrictions dictate.

Special redevelopment of Lawton Hall began in the last decade.  It had been a family home for centuries and more latterly a private school. It was abandoned during the 1990s and fell victim to vandalism and fire.

Home to a gated residential community, Lawton Hall has nine fine apartments and 30 luxurious new-build houses and mews.  These have our high performance, double glazed, Conservation™ box sash windows that incorporate elegant period sightlines, and French doorsets and entrance doors that surpass the requirements of current Part L Building Regulations.
