Full marks for Mumford & Wood
Our Contemporary™ doors and windows have been specified throughout the extension of a Church of England primary school in Andover, Hampshire.
The extension provides many new facilities for the school’s 100 pupils which serves two small villages and provides a secure and creative environment in which children can live and learn. Mumford & Wood’s made-to-measure Contemporary™ designs suit the teaching ethos of the school and contribute to the openness of the school’s policy. Contemporary™ windows have a functional appearance with crisp modular lines.
Mumford & Wood’s Contemporary™ products are made from premium, laminated knot-free timber; they are factory fitted with secure double glazing and Low E glass and fully compliant with Part L Building Regulations. A variety of hinge systems are available, as are optional glazing types, and they are finished with an automated, factory applied, paint or stain.
“The windows accounted for a substantial proportion of the £2m project cost but in this design the doors and windows account for a large proportion of the building’s envelope. They are prominent, dominant and we are very pleased with them,” says the school’s Head of Governors.
