Contemporary™ tilt turn fenestration for London conversion
Windows from Mumford & Wood’s Contemporary™ range have been specified by Kier Wallis, part of the Kier Group, for a property conversion near Liverpool Street British Rail station in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
The Contemporary™ tilt turn windows were used throughout the disused warehouse in its conversion to 14 luxury, one and two-bedroom apartments and lend a functional appearance with crisp modular lines.
In this project windows with tilt turn frames, manufactured from premium laminated knot-free timber, have concealed hinges and satin chrome ironmongery, and were supplied factory-finished with two-coats of microporous paint and factory-glazed with energy-efficient Low E glass.
The Contemporary™ range also offers an aluminium-clad option – powder coated aluminium on the exterior for reduced maintenance and timber interiors with either paint or stain finish – the frame being a 50/50 composite of both materials. Contemporary™ windows and doors can be supplied triple glazed and are fully compliant with current Building Regulations.
“Communication with Mumford & Wood was excellent and they accommodated our many design changes. Installation good, windows functioning beautifully and great style aesthetics,” says John Fullex, Wallis
