Farmhouse restoration requires Conservation™ windows and doors
Mumford & Wood have supplied windows and doors from the Conservation™ range for an attractive restoration project in Warwickshire.
With parts of the farmhouse dating back to around 1700, this pretty property had been left derelict and abandoned for many years until an ambitious young family set about its total renovation, removing the upper floor and roof and totally gutting the interior.
Almost a decade later on completion of the property, which has many beautiful rooms of significant proportions, the owners decided to upgrade their first choice of windows and doors. On recommendation they specified Mumford & Wood’s Conservation™ products throughout the two and three storey property. The house is of timber construction and many internally exposed beams are complemented with bold and robust reclaimed stone floors. Mumford & Wood’s Georgian-style Conservation™ casements are equally charismatic adding exceptional style and elegance to this property.
The products are factory finished as standard with three coats of spray applied microporous paint. In this project a dual finish paint option was specified as an optional extra. A selection of glass types is also available and all products comply, and surpass, the requirements of current Part L Building Regulations.
