For the proud owners of Britain’s finest factory finished timber windows and doors, Mumford & Wood has introduced a Complete Care Service to ensure the company’s Conservation™ products remain in perfect working condition and achieve their life expectancy of up to 65 years or more.
Setting an industry benchmark, the Complete Care Service is available to all Mumford & Wood’s customers for an annual one-off fee. Trained staff will attend site and carry out a full interior and exterior clean down using a new waterless, eco-friendly cleaning system. This product removes bacteria, the main cause of mould, and leaves a secondary, protective coat on the paintwork.
A full inspection is then carried out and findings are provided in a detailed written report, together with a recommendation of the actions that should be taken before the next annual inspection. During this site visit a full operational check will be carried out on handles, catches, spring balances, hinges, locking mechanisms and weather-stripping. Any components showing wear or fault will be replaced as required.
“These adjustments are made to ensure the smooth and seamless operation of our market-leading products,” says Frank Buckley, managing director, Mumford & Wood. “By working to a planned maintenance programme we are protecting the customer’s investment in our products and to ensure they look and perform as well as they did on the day they were installed. The Complete Care Service gives us the opportunity to continue the relationship with our customers long after delivery.”
While touching-in of paintwork or any localised damage is covered in the inspection, the report will detail the condition of the paintwork, including paint thickness, to indicate when redecoration or other maintenance programs should be carried out. If required, Mumford & Wood will quote for this remedial work.
