Impressive U-values for Conservation™ doors
Premium timber French doorsets and entrance doors in the Mumford & Wood Conservation™ range of period-style products can claim the exceptionally low U-value of 1.4 W/m².K for single or double, fully glazed doors.
This measurement is well within the new Part L Building Regulations, October 2010, specification which requires a minimum U-value of 1.8 W/m².K for glazed and panelled timber doors.
“This again puts us ahead of current legislation,” says Chris Wood, Sales & Marketing Director, Mumford & Wood, “and prepares us for the changes that will inevitably affect all manufacturers in the next round of Part L target reductions due in 2013.”
Casement and sliding sashes in the Conservation™ range are fully compliant with the new legislation already. Mumford & Wood’s standard casement has a BSI energy rating of ‘B’, with an overall frame U-value of 1.4 W/m².K, while the ECO alternative specification casements and sashes already satisfy the 2016 energy and carbon reduction improvement targets.
